The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System
The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System is the most effective vehicle security system for your car or truck. LoJack allows police to track down your vehicle after is has been stolen, and return it safely to you. When your car is reported stolen, a routine entry into the state crime database will find a match between the car's VIN number, and its unique LoJack code. This automatically activates the LoJack device hidden on your vehicle. The vehicle security system's small radio transceiver immediately begins to emit an inaudible signal which police use to track the location of the car or truck. Police then follow the signal to the location of the vehicle, and recover it from the would-be car thieves.
LoJack: Hidden where thieves can't find, finds thieves where they can't hide
LoJack is hidden where thieves can't even find it. Other vehicle security systems and theft recovery services rely on a short, visible antenna which can easily be broken off by thieves. The LoJack equipment is small enough to be hidden in up to 20 places on your vehicle (not even the owner knows its location.)
The LoJack vehicle security system works through concrete walls, ceilings, and other barriers (underground garages) to find your stolen vehicle. Other services require a direct line of sight between the vehicle security system's antenna and orbiting GPS satellites.
LoJack is the only vehicle security system or theft recovery service operated directly by law enforcement. To learn more about LoJack click here.
LoJack Early Warning System
LoJack Early Warning technology is the newest addition to the LoJack vehicle security system. The Early Warning System alerts you the moment your car or truck is being moved without your permission. As the car owner, you carry a personal LoJack Early Warning Key Pass that sends a signal to the vehicle security system confirming that you are an authorized driver. The Early Warning System alerts you to check on your vehicle no matter where you are. If you confirm that the car is stolen, you contact the police and they will activate LoJack immediately. The Early Warning vehicle security system alerts you by up to 5 means of contact of your choice (phone, email, or pager).
Some facts about vehicle security
There is another car stolen every 25.3 seconds in the United States, adding up to over one million each year. Unfortunately, law enforcement is limited in what they can do to prevent auto theft from happening. Car theft has become a billion dollar industry. As alarm devices and vehicle security systems become more technologically advanced, so do the thieves they are meant to avert. Even the most sophisticated vehicle security systems are easily bypassed by professional car thieves. Without any suspects, eyewitnesses, or leads to investigate, this leaves car owners hopeless in protecting their automobiles. LoJack allows police to track down your vehicle after is has been stolen, and return it safely to you.
